Okay, there’s just something very odd about BlogExplosion‘s newest game, Battle of the Blogs. I think there must be some way to rig it or something. I’m not really bothered that absolutely everyone beats my blog.
I am sort of bothered that this one beat my blog with at least 5 votes. They had 5 votes before I even had one.
(Note: I actually like his blog and have it blogmarked. His design is a little 1996 though and with the quick voting you need to do in BotB, there’s not much time to absorb content)

A little 1996? I am shocked and appalled! Haha. I, too, became frustrated with BotB’s. Ugly blogs (like super ugly 1992 looking one’s) were beating mine 7-0! So I figured they must be cheating. So I asked myself how. And I assumed they must be voting for themselves with different screen names. And so I tried to see if that worked. And it does. So you must have been one of the blogs I beat while performing that test. I cheated. What is my punishment? In my defense I only gave myself 2 votes.

Oh man, why do people have so much wasted energy? Seems like a hassle to create eleventy billion different logins and log in and out of each to vote for yourself.
BlogExplosion did say they were thinking about changing the way voting was done. Maybe to prevent that sort of thing. "Life is not the amount of breaths you take, it’s the moments that take your breath away.” |

I don’t think that BotB is rigged, but I do think it’s a bunch of BS. Because the voting is so fast, if you ever stop to actually read something on the blogs your voting on, you end up voting too late. People must just get in, click each “view blog” link and then randomly vote on a blog. It’s just that your blog isn’t the lucky one. I did a lot of BotB when it started, but know I hate it. It seems that surfing member blogs is a better way to get credits and you can take your time. |

I think that some people get together on the chat board and collude in the voting...Strange premise...they drop the ranking in and change the way to rate blogs only to come up with another popularity contest. |
