Mark very recently (like yesterday) introduced me to SoBe Beverages. They have an unbelievably wide variety and so far, I haven’t tasted a flavor I don’t like. I’ve sampled the Elixer 3C Cranberry Grapefruit: which somehow tasted like neither, yet is so, so good, LizBlizz: a tropical creamy drink that’s basically a virgin pina colada, and Liz Fuel: a strawberry banana creamy drink that’s as smooth and sweet as a dream.
SoBe is the South Beach Beverage Company. I’m unclear from their about page if they’re related to the South Beach Diet, but they promote the diet with their commercials so my assumption is that they are.
The focus of their beverages is “healthy”. They add some herbs, vitamins and other assorted suppliments in their drinks. As far as calories go, they have about as much as a regular soft drink, but hey: at least with SoBe you’re getting a little extra boost.
They have so many flavors, I can’t believe everyone can’t find one they like. The next time you’re at the store, walk down the beverage aisle and see if you can find a SoBe to your liking.

I haven’t had a SoBe beverage since I moved to Indiana four years ago; I used to buy them all the time at my old college. I think the cranberry-grapefruit was the one I always bought; I know it was a red drink. Yum. |

SoBe’s been around for awhile. At least here, so I don’t think they’re related to the South Beach craze. I could be wrong though. Cranberry-grapefruit sounds good. I might have to try it out. |

No, SoBe beverages were around long before the south beach diet craze started. A word of warning, though, since you’re trying to lose weight: Even though they claim to be “healthy”, they’re chock full of High Fructose Corn Syrup, which if you believe some studies, actually makes you gain weight. I believe SoBe’s lean line doesn’t have the HFCS, though. As with everything--moderation. I really like the Green Tea and the LizFuel. |

Yeah, I’m treating it like I would soft drinks - a snack, not really a beverage. "Life is not the amount of breaths you take, it’s the moments that take your breath away.” |
