It was a tough decision.  Although I love Alias, Smallville and the X-Files and I go nearly orgasmic for new episodes of Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis and Battlestar Galactica, I have to say that Lost has blown all the others away.  Perhaps in two or three seasons, SG-1 will return to being my favorite sci-fi series, but for now, it’s Lost!

That was a toughie!  I was addicted to Angel and to Dark Angel.  In the end I judged it by my viewing of the box sets.  I’ve watched ALL of Angel on DVD.  I’ve only watched about a season and a half of Dark Angel.

I also wanted to vote “other” because I really dug “Wolf Lake” which was short lived on CBS, and also drooled over “Tremors: The Series” on SciFi.

Does charmed count as sci-fi?  That’d be my vote if it does.  But until then, Dark Angel it is, though I wish they’d make a movie or bring teh series back to give it a proper ending.

I am a big BTVS fan, but I do not see it as SciFi so much as fantasy.  I would have voted for Andromeda and think it should have been listed.  It is an extremely entertaining show to watch.

Thermistockles, I’d tend to agree with you regarding BTVS, but for some reason, sci-fi nerds believe it is sci-fi, so I won’t crush their silly illusions. smile

I’d never heard of Andromeda, but when I looked it up on IMDB a moment ago, it appears to be a Star Trek induced show.  I’ve excluded anything Star Trek mostly because the franchise is so big.  It’s really another poll to itself.

None. They all suck too much to even see for free.
