I’m ridiculously behind on reviews, so no summary this week.
I was impressed with how well they’re dealing so far with Jonathan’s death, but I’m also surprised by a few things, namely how they handled his Senate seat. Surely, it can’t work that way in real life…
This episode had me bawling at points. Since I’m pretty cold and heartless, I rarely get moved to tears by a TV show, so this is a big kudos to the Smallville writers.
Just some bulletpoints on this ep:
The dynamic of this show just might pick up yet. There’s obviously a set up for Lionel to try to weasle his way into the Kent’s life. I think he’d love nothing more than to marry Martha so Clark would be his son. I think his love for his dead wife is tainted because she produced Lex.
This was a great episode in the wake of Jonathan’s death and sets up a promising little story arc. Let’s hope Smallville starts getting better now that the good little angel (Jonathan) is off everyone’s shoulder.
sometimes I wonder should I stab Lionel or just pat his shoulder. Because he is, predictably, unpredictable.
